HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It’s that time of year again, you know the one where you set out to write down goals. And if you haven’t in the last few years, you should. It’s a great way to stay motivated throughout the year.
Let’s dive into why you are really here. Running gear for New Year! Nothing gets me more motivated than a new running shirt, pair of shoes, or a gift from a friend who acknowledges my commitment and the struggles with sticking with a goal. Let’s check out my top 5 gear I’ve added to my arsenal that has given me the boost to keep me motivated and has helped greatly with my training and enjoying my hobby!
1.SOCKS
If you haven’t already found your favorite brand, now is the time to try out Feetures. The main reason why I absolutely love this brand is their Lifetime-Guarantee.
I’ve yet to find another company who will not require finding a receipt for “proof of purchase”. Those fine print details drive me bonkers. Feetures will back their product unless you let your dog chew on them, or lose them.
Where else would you have gotten them, stolen out of the store? Off my rant now, this is why I turned to Feetures. Their fit is great, and I’ve tried a few other brands all within the same price range. I couldn’t tell a difference. You’ll have plenty of fun color options and styles. I even convinced my husband to switch over since we would go through his cheaper socks 1-2 times a year.
2. SOFT WATER FLASK
I love these reusable collapsible water flasks. I knew I wanted to find something to solve the issue of being thirsty on a run but didn’t want to use a hydration vest, water belt, or a handheld. I stumbled across this as a solution and absolutely love it. It’s just enough to keep me hydrated and small enough I can fit it into my shorts pocket with ease. They are affordable and hold up well! I have a few different brands.
3. KOALA CLIP
Do you have your favorite pair of shorts or leggings and there are NO pockets? Yet you still would like to run with your phone. I have a SOLUTION! The Koala Clip offers you a hands free way of storing your phone and keys. It’s such a smart solution to what most of us probably deal with.
Here is my one and only irk about this product. I have long hair. So the zipper part WILL get tangled in your hair. I figured this out the hard way…twice. So beware if your hair can reach it. I suggest going for a tighter top to avoid this or simply change up how you throw your hair up that day. Another alternative way is by clipping it to your shorts, works best on side where it is more snug.

4. NEW CLOTHING
Do you struggle with getting up early to workout? How about you look outside and see frigid temperatures and feel like skipping some fresh air and just getting to work. I find adding a new top, bottom, shoes, or hat can get me back into the excitement mode. I like to keep to a budget but I’m unwilling to compromise on quality.
I’ll find some amazing deals at Running Warehouse. You can find all of the top name brands there and they ALWAYS have a clearance section, offer FREE SHIPPING plus Free 90 day returns. You can’t get much better than that!

5. SUNGLASSES
Get yourself moving by getting a new accessory! Excuse the sweaty photo, but those Goodr glasses have been through over a THOUSAND of sweaty miles. I’m hesitant to spend a lot of money on a pair of sunglasses without a guarantee that makes it easy to get replacements without a long line of fine print. Goodr offers a 1 year warranty. I have used their warranty due to the lens scratching. It was a breeze to do and even arrived quickly.
I also recently tried out Blenders. I was looking for a wider lens for those blizzard days and they had the style I was looking for. I do like the feel of Blenders as well. However I cannot find anywhere beyond “45 day free returns”. I hope they will stand behind their product longer than 45 days. So far both glasses have shown no signs of scratches. I’ll keep you posted on any changes!
Just like any product, some are great and others feel cheap. I like the balance of budget friendly and feels like top quality. Both Goodr and Blenders fit the criteria for this!
